Stereoscope
A stereoscope makes it possible for me to see photos in 3D. The stereoscope allows me to see the relief (mountains, hills) of the landscape. If I were working with ordinary, two-dimensional aerial photos, it would be very difficult for me to identify where the gaps are in the forest.
