Glossary - Meristem
Tissue composed of undifferentiated, embryonnary cells, able to divide into new specialized tissues. These cells will be responsible for growth in length of stems and roots (primary meristem) or for the increase in thickness of the trunk, stems and roots of many plants (secondary meristem).
