The raft of the summits
In my work as a botanist, as a researcher and as a conservator of the Jardin botanique de Montréal, I have the great pleasure of traveling, going on missions in different countries. The most palpitating moments were the times I participated to the missions "Raft of the summits", with the team of professor Francis Hallé, the great French botanist. By using a hot air balloon, we drop the raft on the tropical forest's canopy.
I have had the pleasure of doing this two times. Once, in French Guyana, and the second time, some years later, in Gabon.
