My field of specialization is understory vegetation, or the dynamic of understory vegetation, as well as the impact of human intervention on this vegetation.

So, it's about ecological integrity, biodiversity. I'm also very interested in the question of ecosystem ecology.

So, not just seeing forests as... not just to study the largest component of forests, the trees, but to study all the interactions of the different components of the forest.

So, it's extremely important to see the difference between just having trees and grass, which is not necessarily a forest, and all the additional components, so a very rich environment.

And to try to see what it is, try to be able to quantify this quality... These are difficult things to quantify, and so they are very, very complex interactions.
