Hello and welcome to the Tree House, one of the jewels to be discovered at the Botanical Garden.

Opened to the public in 1996, the Tree House is located in the heart of the Garden's Arboretum, among its vast collection of trees.

The Arboretum occupies more than half of the Garden's surface area.
The entrance closest to the Tree House is located on Rosemont Boulevard, at the corner of 29th Avenue.

The central mission of the Tree House is to provide public education on the environment.
Its original architecture offers a unique window on the woods of our forests.
Its structure highlights species such as maple, yellow birch, spruce, Douglas fir, and many others…

There is a discovery area for families, and many windows let the sun shine in and offer an unobstructed view of the Arboretum and the pond.

A part of the permanent exhibit

Inside the Tree House, visitors explore the permanent exhibit, which presents all facets of trees: biology, forest ecosystems, the different tree species that we find in our forests, the life of trees through the seasons.

Another room is dedicated to temporary exhibits on varied subjects.
Always tree-related, they are sometimes artistic, educational or specialized.

In previous years, we have covered different themes, such as the olive tree, wood veneer panels, different forest professions.

At the far end of the Tree House, there is a rest area for visitors seeking a bit of tranquility.

Finally, on our balcony, there is a superb view of our pond, as well as the courtyard of North-American bonsai trees.

Numerous information sessions are offered for school groups or specialized groups. Topics include trees, forests, wetlands and nature in winter.
During the summer season, our information sessions for the general public cover topics such as bonsais, pond life and our Arboretum's tree collection.

There is always something new to discover at the Tree House.
