Hello, we are at the Montréal Botanical Garden, in the heart of its Arboretum, which is an outdoor museum of trees and shrubs.

And here we would like to show you a collection of more than 800 species from all corners of the world.

This is a carefully arranged collection in which the specimens are grouped according to their botanical family.

And you can, for example, head to the group of elms and admire several species of this family like this beautiful Scots elm.

Even though it is carefully arranged, the landscape is nonetheless that of a park of great beauty, where one can stroll pleasantly and learn about this great diversity.

On this small surface, the collection of the Montréal Botanical Garden allows you to discover and admire a very large number of different trees.

For example, on a short walk, you can see white oak, swamp white oak, bur oak, swamp Spanish oak and red oak.

You can also travel, since you will see trees you would otherwise see only if you were to go

to southern Ontario, with the tulip poplar,

to Europe, with the English oak,

to British Columbia, with the Douglas fir,

to the Mississippi River valley, with Diospyros,

and all the way to the mountains of China, with the Chinese pine.

The Arboretum of the Montréal Botanical Garden thus offers you a collection of trees that you can contemplate on a magnificent site.
The staff works together to present you a great variety of species, shapes and colors.

Welcome.
